The tour to Ieranto Bay starts in Nerano and is one of the most picturesque around here. Once you leave the village of Nerano, first you pass by the pink house where the British writer Norman Douglas started to write his novel “Siren Land”. Further on the first views are of the bay of Marina del Cantone with Li Galli islands  and the Amalfi Coast beyond. As you walk on, two of the three "peaks" come into sight with an ancient watchtower situated between them.
The best is yet to come though, since as you start the descent towards the bay, all of a sudden Capri's Faraglioni rocks appear out of nowhere and as you continue down, the entire Ieranto Bay, its shut down quarry to the left, opens out in front of you. If you are not in a hurry first walk up to the tower to admire the views from there and then go down to the abandoned quarry and walk to its furthest point beyond the site's buildings. From there you will have a magnificent view of Capri and Punta Campanella.
Now it’s time to get to the beach: the Capitiello beach, a narrow alcove with crystalline water and another astonishing perspective of Punta Campanella and Capri. Take your time here to rest and to enjoy that unique seascape.

Natural landscape interests: view on Capri, view on Marina del Cantone and Galli islands, karst formations and caves, beautiful bay with the possibility to swim (snorkeling), marine protected area (zone B), possibility of guided tours in kayak and snorkeling

Botany: mediterranean scrub, scrubland aereas, carrob trees, true myrtle, mastic tree,  jupiter’s beard, lithospermo, euphorbia, red valerian, broom, asphodel, rosemary, orchids, ...

Fauna: birds of prey (kestrel, peregrine falcon, buzzard, raven, sea gull, ...) migratory and sedentary birds and insects, butterflies, reptiles (lizards, harmless snakes), small mammals.

Historical and archaeological interests: defense tower Montalto, lime kiln, quarry, remains of roman constructions Punta Capitello, cave of Noglie (findings of the late Aeneolithic age).
