It’s the most popular trail on the Amalfi Coast and perhaps one of the most famous in Italy.
Shady, cool forests of holm oak and chestnut alternate the unique wild mediterranean underbrush where you walk along grassy terraces shored up by dry stone walls and craggy rock formations. Around a bend above steep cliffs you arrive at a panoramic view point suspended between sky and the deep blue sea where far out the Sirens’ islands recall the Greek Mythology. Walking on the “Divine Coast” where the gods dwelt, listening to a passionate storyteller’s words, tasting genuine local food, all together makes it an unforgettable five senses experience.
You can do the “Path of the Gods” one way or as a loop (round trip) starting from both sides, Bomerano (Agerola) or Nocelle. To avoid a lot of stairs walking down to Positano you can take the public bus to the town center.
